Biography
Roman Bahnaru obtained master degree in Telecommunication at the Technical University of Moldova and university degree in Economy at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (theme: Digital Economy in Republic of Moldova). Currently he is PhD candidate at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. The theme of his PhD is “Digital Economy governance in business”, his study focuses on holistic understanding of stakeholder ecosystem on digitalization at macro level.
His expertise is: policy analysis (especially digital governance, legislations and regulations), digital transformation, entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized enterprises, market researches, statistics, etc.
His experience includes: public sector – at national regulator in ICT (ANRCETI), acting as NRA digital expert at national, regional and international events (ministerial meetings, government meetings, conferences, Horizon 2020, ITU, etc.), serve as a National Regulatory Contact Point for ITU and chief of expert group in EaP platform and; private sector (as consultant); and academy sector (as lecturer).
He has participated as speaker and expert at many national and international conferences, forums and meetings on digitalization and governance.
He is active as a researcher and produced scientific papers published in national and international journals. He is also active in local non-government organizations.
His current interests are focused on development of the methodology for evaluation the digital economy, digital taxation, market researches on digitalization, as well as the appropriate use of tools for cross-sector collaboration.
