Biography

Andrea Bruckner obtained her Masters degree in Environmental System Science and Business Administration focusing on successful innovation models for the sector biobased materials from renewable resources – bioplastics at the University of Graz.

She is a project manager at the Cleantech Cluster, which is part of the state wide business agency Business Upper Austria OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH. Her task is to promote a biobased economy and to motivate companies to switch to renewable resources in their production processes. To realise this goal, cooperation needs to connect science, the economic sector and business as well as the public.

Andrea Bruckner is also project manager for the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme project DanuBioValNet as Business Upper Austria organisation is partner within the project consortium. In her former position she was project manager and scientific officer for renewable resources and bio-based economy within the Austrian Energy Agency in Vienna, working closely together with the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, DG I – Environment and Climate Protection (former Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management)
