Mr. Sorin Pop

Sorin POP is Project Coordinator for Indeco Soft, one of Romania’s most relevant eGovernment providers and CEO of Creative Space an innovative startup specialized in eHealth and Earth Observation.

For the last 6 years, his activities in R&D included the coordination of Romania’s first Horizon 2020 SME Instrument project working on Space Downstream Applications – GREENTOP (www.greentop.eu) on using gamification and IoT for Eath Observation Data Processing and technical coordination, business analysis and project management in EU funded projects ICT-PSP project (www.i-locate.eu) and one Horizon 2020 (www.uncap.eu).  Working with the European Space Agency on EOClimLab has been a tremendous opportunity for mr. Sorin POP.

He worked for the Romanian Intelligence Agency in IT security and network administration from 2007 to 2011.  He is experienced in risk management, emergency management and communication, having implemented 3 business analysis projects for County Committees for Emergency Situations in Romania and several Regional Development Funds projects on eHealth, Social Assistance and Social Innovation.

Passionate about social equity and CSR, he manages university cooperation, a scholarship programme and supports the Municipality of Baia Mare in Social Innovative programmes.

Sorin dreams about truly bringing Open Innovation in Romanian Companies, Universities, Administration and towards Social Partners and creating solutions that improve citizens quality of life.
